Laercio Fernandes

Laercio is a 3rd degree Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and an IBJJF Black Belt World Champion. Universally known as one of the top Jiu-Jitsu athletes in the world, Laercio is now focusing on building a world class Jiu-Jitsu program in South Orange County.

Anthony Frank

Anthony Frank was an All American Wrestler who has coached many athletes to CIF Masters & State titles. Anthony was also an assistant drilling partner to U.S. National Team Coach Valentin Kalika for the 2016 Women’s Olympic Wrestling team. Anthony was former FILA Pankration World Champion and Professional fighter. He is an active Jiu Jitsu competitor under the Cobrinha / Alliance Jiu-Jitsu team.

Jon Frank

Jon is a Marine Corps veteran and retired Fugitive Task Force Inspector for the U.S. Marshals Service. Jon was a multi-sport competitive athlete in Boxing, Taekwondo, Muay Thai, Kickboxing and Shooto. Jon currently serves as the president of the United States Fight League, the national governing body for youth Pankraton/MMA, and combat sports organizer for Marine Corps base Camp Pendleton.

Michael Joker Guymon

Michael “The Joker” Guymon has been training MMA since 1998 and fought professionally for 14 years. He’s a UFC and Bellator veteran as well a former King of the Cage welterweight World Champion.

Junewoo Chung

Junewoo Chung is a black belt under Laercio Fernandes. His initial journey into BJJ began and ended during his freshman year of college at UC Irvine. He restarted BJJ during his second year in law school and began to take his training seriously. During his BJJ career, he received instruction from and trained under various notable instructors, including Shawn Williams, Lucas Leite, and Giva Santana. Junewoo Chung received his black belt on the podium after earning gold in his division (Brown/Masters 1/lightweight) at the 2012 World Master IBJJF Championship. Other notable competition accomplishments include a bronze medal at the 2014 World Master IBJJF Championship in the Masters 1, lightweight, black division. Now, he focuses on instructing and coaching at Grappler’s Studio. When he is not teaching at Grappler’s Studio, he practices law as a Public Defender.

Amanda Brown Tortorici

Amanda is currently pursuing her PhD in Public Health at UC Irvine. She is a Registered Dietitian, nutritionist, and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach. Amanda was a former high school and collegiate athlete in track and field, lacrosse and field hockey. Amanda now focuses on competitive Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu where she was a silver medalist at IBJJF Nationals and No-Gi Worlds.
